BOLLING RE-ELECTED TO SECOND TERM AS VIRGINIA'S LIEUTENANT GOVERNOR
Bolling to serve on McDonnell transition team and as Virginia's Chief Jobs Creation Officer
Lieutenant Governor Bill Bolling has been re-elected to a second four year term as Lieutenant Governor of Virginia. Bolling received 57% of the popular vote in statewide elections that were held on November 3, 2009.
"I am honored that the people of Virginia have allowed me to continue serving as their Lieutenant Governor," Bolling said. "We face some serious challenges in our state today, but I am confident that if we work together we can find solutions to these challenges and build a better Virginia."
Meanwhile, Governor-elect Robert F. McDonnell announced that Lieutenant Governor Bolling will also serve as a member of the transition team that will help coordinate the development of his new administration.
McDonnell previously announced that Lieutenant Governor Bolling will serve as Virginia's Chief Jobs Creation Officer working with Governor-elect McDonnell to create jobs and grow Virginia’s economy.

BOLLING ELECTED CHAIRMAN OF NLGA
Lieutenant Governor Bill Bolling has been elected Chairman of the National Lieutenant Governors Association (NLGA). Bolling was unanimously elected by a bi-partisan group of his peers at the Association's annual meeting in Baltimore, Maryland. Bolling had previously served as Vice Chairman and Treasurer of the NLGA. He also serves on the Association's Executive Committee.
"I am honored that my colleagues from across the country have asked me to serve as Chairman of NLGA for the next year," Lieutenant Governor Bolling said. "I look forward to working with them to build on the successes of the NLGA and help build bi-partisan consensus around realistic and workable solutions to the challenges facing our states and our nation."
